Video recordings in the
Grand Canyon / Colorado-River

Dual axis TV camera control for professional use in television and film studios. Both axes can be controlled simultaneously and independently of one another using a joystick. To control the instrument more smoothly the joystick’s characteristic curve has been electronically modified with a soft start. The right-hand picture shows a test rig made for ABC Productions over the Grand Canyon.

 
   
 
Brushless angle reproduction with SOD-402 Angles are very accurately reproduced with synchros and resolver. The system works universally, from small to large drives in steel mills. Even at 10,000 rpm, it is possible to achieve synchronised accuracies in excess of 1°.

400Hz to 10kHz carrier frequency.
Sinus output oscillator and adjustment transformer with
6/12/18/24 VAC, as well as power supply on the card.
Hydraulically stabilised platforms on ships, each controlled by their own “remote gyros”.

Currently, there are more than 2000 ship gyros containing these low-noise 400Hz carrier frequency modules (featuring 1000-fold amplification). All were built in European shipyards.
