DCP Series: Typical applications

1. Voltage amplification

Here, the output impedance is zero ohms, i.e. the output voltage is extremely rigid and insensitive to loads.

Measurement systems for power-consuming devices
Simulation of networks and power supplies
Measurement of resonance damping networks
Simulation of disruptions in battery power supplies
DCP 520/30 wide-band type: Blaupunkt car radios for NISSAN are individually tested worldwide for their resistance to interference.
Measurement systems for the testing of power relays in continuous production.

2. Current amplification/current control

The amplifier works like a perfect bipolar current source with practically infinte output impedance, i.e. the impressed current retains its value and does not alter with load fluctuations.

Electron beam deflection
Deflection of loaded elementary particles
Magnet field yokes and large coils
Testing the response behaviour of fuses
Tension control and torque control in machines and installations
for the measurement of resonance with power shakers (special version).
DCP2000/60: water-cooled for the Max Planck Institute (Büsnau) delivers 40A with 10-5 accuracy

DCP130F30: specially designed model with 50V/µs for the deflection of electron beams during vacuum welding. MTU, Rolls-Royce and Pratt&Whitney use this equipment for the welding of titanium blades in aeroplane turbines.

3. Speed control of high-speed DC servo motors with DC tachometer

Angular acceleration up to 200,000 rad/sec2, corresponding
to 2,000 rpm in 1 millisecond. Such extreme changes in speed
even occur aperiodically, i.e. without overshooting.
These servo systems are particularly resistant to torque
disturbance and thus especially well suited to precise
positioning in machines and measurement systems, for instance:
in gear tooth measuring machines and laser resistor trimming automats.

4. Highly accurate positioning of DC servo motors

Infeed axle of precision measuring machines,
gear tooth measuring machines, grinding
machines and machine tools
Spring measurement machines, passenger car
Bowden cable deterioration machines
Positioning of pins and contacts in the
manufacturing of connectors
Positioning axes in large telescopes
Training simulators for aeroplanes and
armoured tanks
Ultrasonic crack detection in nuclear
power plant casing

DCP520/60: assumes control of the pilot’s horizon steering in Thomson flight simulators.
